Scroll to the bottom of the petition page and click on “Report a policy violation” button located below the comments section.

Promoted a Project?

What are Promoted Project?
Promoted Project are advertisements, allowing you to have your favorite Project discovered by thousands of potential supporters. Similar to boosted posts on Facebook or sponsored tweets on Twitter, promoted Project let you pay to show any Project (including your own) to other potential supporters on Hatch My Idea or our distribution channels.
How do I Promote a Project?
By chipping in to promote a Project, a supporter can help a Project be seen by far more people, and get more support. Promotions are available for most Project on Change.org and anyone can chip in, from the Project starter to signers.
How do Promoted Project work?
You already have the ability to share Project via social networks and email. Promoted Project advertising gives you another way to ensure a Project is seen by people outside your network. Our primary target, Hatchmyidea users, also happen to be the largest group of active changemakers on the Internet. Check out our campaigning guide for others ways to support Project that you care about!
How do Promotions help Project?
When someone chips in to promote a Project it helps us share it with wide audiences of action-takers in the Change.org community. Each contribution helps cover the costs of distributing the petition to hundreds, thousands, even millions more people in the hatch my idea community, many of whom go on to sign the Project. Together, the signatures help the Project gain media attention, influence decision-makers, and propel the Project toward victory.
Are promotions like fundraisers?
No. Promotions are not a fundraiser for the Project starters. Our Promoted Project tool is not a typical online fundraising tool. We know that fundraising for an issue is incredibly important and we’re glad there are tools out there that can help.
Promoting a petition on hatch my idea fills a different critical need for campaigns to be successful: it specifically helps the petition be seen by far more people than would otherwise see it through standard social media shares.

What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a method of raising funds for a project, venture, or cause by soliciting small contributions from a large number of people, typically via online platforms.
How does crowdfunding work?
Project creators create a crowdfunding campaign outlining their project, goals, and funding needs. They then promote the campaign to their network and beyond, encouraging individuals to contribute funds in exchange for rewards or equity, depending on the type of crowdfunding model used.
What types of crowdfunding are available?
There are several types of crowdfunding, including rewards-based crowdfunding (backers receive rewards or perks), donation-based crowdfunding (backers donate without expecting anything in return), equity crowdfunding (backers receive equity in the project or company), and debt crowdfunding (backers provide loans to the project or company).
What are the benefits of crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding offers several benefits, including access to capital without traditional financing channels, validation of the project or idea by the crowd, marketing and exposure for the project or venture, and the potential for building a community of supporters and backers.
Are there any risks associated with crowdfunding?
While crowdfunding can be a valuable funding source, there are risks involved, such as failing to meet fundraising goals, delivering rewards or perks as promised, and legal and regulatory compliance issues. Backers should carefully evaluate campaigns before contributing and be aware that not all projects may succeed.
